Alterna
We are Alterna, a new food business concept in Birmingham. We are a food retail shop, a small intimate bakery and a catering company. Our concept is focused on plant-based diets and products. Whilst we don’t really follow a certain cuisine, as we like to experiment with all of them, we do have South-American and American influences.

Alterna Market
Upstairs you will find a small selection of essential products. We thought of giving the community a space where they can hang out and pick up something they perhaps forgot or need. There you will find anything from noodles to cleaning supplies.
Alterna Bakery
We love good food, drinks and hospitality! No one will treat you better than at home, right? That’s why we thought in offering our customers a chance to truly try nice, fresh and plant-based bakery options with us.
Please visit us in our Jewellery Quarter shop on the ground floor, where we have allocated a small yet cosy section for our guests to sit down and order our bakery menu options or grab ready-to-eat products from the shop and enjoy them in-house.
